Consultancy
In order to ensure that venetian polished plaster is appropriate to your project, we are
keen to be involved at an early stage of planning. Our experience with the material
means that we can offer guidance and advice on the preparation of substrates and
also the suitability of specific finishes to particular areas.
Early site visits and planning discussions typically save time, money and prevent
disappointment at a later stage in building.
Please call Joss on 07960 666 577 to arrange for a site visit.

Surface Finishes
Stucco Veneziano
Stucco lustro veneziano is a finish applied in small patches in order to build up several
layers which are then highly polished. An almost glass-like effect can be achieved
whereas the level of "movement" in the pattern would be subject to clients request.
This finish can be applied as a single colour or as many colours overlapping and
blending together.
Smooth or Cloudy Marmorino
Traditional marmorino is usually applied as one single colour, however cloudy
marmorino adds an extra tonal option to the finish. Correctly applied marmorino should
have the texture, feel and appearance of polished stone. More radical options using
this technique are available creating multi-coloured, multi-tonal finishes.
Textured Marmorino
Typically identified as pitted, dragged, travertine or combinations thereof. Textured
marmorino provides a surface with a similar lustre to traditional smooth but with the
added interest of organically patterned pits and striations. These textured finishes
benefit uniquely from the additional use of metallic, pearlescent and coloured glaze
washes. These add to the depth and tone of the surface.
Pearlescent
Exquisite and luxurious, Pearlescent is an elegant finish with a subtle sparkle or
shimmer, creating stunning visual texture and directional effect. With a low sheen, the
intriguing surface is full of movement and tonal interest.
Specialist Finishes
In order to meet the requirements of a wide diversity of client needs, we have
experimented extensively with new techniques and combinations of those you see
above. Therefore we would request that if you have a specific texture or surface finish
in mind, that you describe it to us or provide a similar example to enable us to create a
finish to match your imagination.
Examples of our different Venetian Polished Plaster finishes are
available on request. If you need a specific colour match we can find
it for you.
